Raúl Miguel Sarante is a visual artist from the Dominican Republic. As a child, he began his studies in drawing and painting at the age of 13 years old in the academy of Professor Miguel Valenzuela. Later, he continue in the academy of Professor Guillo Pérez. At the end of high school, he chose to study architecture at the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo and graduated in 2015. Influenced by everything he learned in the years of the academy, he made a mixture of abstraction and figuration using perspective and geometric figures. Besides, In the course of the period 2017-19 was dedicated exclusively to the use of graphic design programs to learn new techniques. With this abilities, he managed to work for some architects and private owners.
He has participated in various visual art exhibitions and competitions nationwide. These events include: National Painting Contest promoted by Junta Agroempresarial Dominicana (2013-14). National Painting contest La Casa del artista (2014). Contest in Tribute to Theodore chasseriau (2017). First individual exhibition at the Guillo Pérez gallery (2012). Collective exhibition at the Cultural Institute Dominico-americano (2013), among others.
